Used Engine

I was wondering if anybody new what year motor would fit in my car without changing anything. Is it 96 97 could 98 work? I am buying a motor online line and want to make sure that I purchase a motor thats going to fit with out changing anything. I know 96 97 will work what about a 98?

96-04 will work but 96-98 have the npi head with suck... 99-04 have 50 more hp

I would try to get the newer motor 1999 and up to 2004.

An exact swap for what is currently in the car is a 96-98 4.6.
