I just got a brand new aluminum one. It's really cool however I am at a loss as to how to install it. I can barely fit under there

Re: I hate being large

The worst part is removing the old quadrant. I think I ended up coming through the firewall with a hammer and screwdriver from under the hood and obliterating my old plastic quadrant.

You may find that easier than trying to remove it with needle nose pliers from inside the car.

As for the rest of the thread............. no comment.

U can't use just the the aluminum quadrant Bc when u remove the plastic one u are also removing the spring and u have to have and adjustable firewall piece or and adjustable cable. But it's pretty simple if u can put a cold air intake on then u should be okay

Trust me, I'm 5'2" and even being short (and with an athleticly built physic, that's for the ladies on here to know ) trying to get under that dash isn't easy! What you need instead of a midget is a contortionist!!!

Wow I must've missed alot here but I was attracted to this thread for the love in the air. AWWW! I just feel glad we all can get along so well.

Yes I have the same problem I weigh 408lbs and stand 6'1" and boy is it hard to get under there. Luckily I have some smalll friends that have been helping me coordinate my efforts and get my car back into shape. I bought the seat extenders from American Muscle and they worked out great.

For any large person great investment. No weight but long legged or just tall. srought my seat back 4 inches. WOW! I was impressed.

Yea I am 6'1 also I am 240lbs yea I have a couple small friends but I like to do things on my own lol. I like to take charge so it's hard having people help me . But since I have done the adjustment nothing but great shifts nice and smooth and with the new tires I am hooking so I am ready for the track
