02 GT Mach 460 sound system

I have a Mach 460 sound system with the 6 CD disc changer. I noticed the CD player does not work but radio works fine. Is this a common problem or is it just me. Or is it that I'm just not doing something right???

I need help please !!!!!!

I had a problem in my 04 with cd disk error that was resolved by disconnecting my battery to allow the cd player to reset. It has worked since.

Tried the battery disconnect. That didn't work. Now it says that all slots are full. I know it should be empty. I am still getting the same disc error though.

Pleas HELP !!!!! Don't want to change the head unit if at all possible....

I had the same problem, but then mine started to eat the cds, not very cool.
I ended up doing what you don't want to do, that is change out the radio. It turned out to be a good thing seeing how the new unit sounds better.

Thanks I believe that is what I will have to do. I did it in my last GT and it wasn't an easy task removing all the components but I accomplished it. May have to do it again.

That same thing happen to me, think it has to do with heat of something or maybe its just old, mines still like that, you'll prolly have to get a new headunit unfortunately

For sure, Disconnected the battery and it is still whacked. Will have to do as I did in the other two Mustangs I have owned. Change the head unit, yet once again. Just a different car LOL. Ford Radios SUCK !!!

Ford radios are nit that bad and the good thing is they used that model radio in several different cars so the junk yards are full of these things still in good working order cheap
