I took ya'lls advice...

And ended up buying a 2002 Mustang GT "Cobra"! All stock except a shiny CAI, interior tastefully redone, Cobra emblems/body.

Odo just rolled over on 102k when I drove it home 130 miles. I love this car already!

Lose the Cobra emblems, and that's one snazzy ride!

No such thing as a GT "Cobra"...so like was already stated, loose the cobra emblems...It is not a good thing to misbadge a car...it's no different than driving a civic with as 12 foot high wing.

Other than that, it's a nice ride.

Re: I took ya'lls advice...

Nothing wrong with a clone but it has to be done right so lose those black side scoops and black hood scoop. Otherwise enjoy....as long as you are happy with your new ride!

I am not a purest, but I like the blackout look no name plates and pure power. He was right weather it is a cobra or not if he is happy with who are we to tell him otherwise.

I agree 100%. A fobra ain't a cobra. A gt is a fantastic car. I have a 2000 and I love it but I sure as hell won't be putting any snake emblems on er. It's a beautiful car as a gt

Re: I took ya'lls advice...

I am a purist when it comes to Cobras. The reason for this, is that I get sick of people asking if mine is real. One kid tried telling me his '90 4 banger was a Cobra. Comon, really? Ignorance is bliss I guess!

Yup, if SVT didn't have a hand in it's creation, it's not real to me! Except the '79-81's as they are like a step brother, and I do love those.

I got the same thing with my Cobra,"Is it a real Cobra"? ****ing annoying.Clones can be cool if done the right way but im the type that will say, "If its not what it is I wont call it what its not"..........did that make sense?

I've been told mine isn't real because either it doesn't have a blower, or it doesn't have white face gauges. Like I said, Ignorance.

Didn't ford just badge gts in Canada with the cobra nameplate on fox body mustangs. They didn't do it with the sn95s or the new edges I don't think... And your right. They aren't a real cobra. The same car stateside was a gt during those years

It was said that they did it through the 80's so they could keep the name Cobra. Yes, Canadian GT's were badged that way, and it also read that way on the title.

All I can say is to each their own! If you want a fake Cobra, then that's up to you. I can't sit here and say not to put them on, it's your car and if you wanted to paint a penis on the sides you would. I just wouldn't want to explain to people that asked me about the car if it was real all the time and I would have to say no.
