Clutch cable

Ok so im sitting here watching my boyfriend but a new clutch cable in and he got in done in ten mins then he put the new quadrant on..now the clutch cable is to loose and we can't figure out why...ugh I'm tired and wanna go home!!! I hate fixing cars it takes to damn long and problems always pop up..

Any suggestions why the new cable would be loose??

So he put a factory replacement cable on the car and a new aftermarket quadrant?

Gonna need a firewall adjuster to adjust the slack out for the new quadrant. It changes where the cable connects to the clutch pedal assembly...therefore changing the length of cable needed for the clutch.
