You can buy a rear seat delete kit.

Re: How to remove the back seats?

Doesn't the rear seat delete just cover the seat instead of actually removing it?

Re: How to remove the back seats?

Grasp the seat bottom firmly by the carpet on the floor, and just yank it up. Should pull right out. Then the back of the seat should bolt in somehow. Juts look at how it's put together, and go from there.

Re: How to remove the back seats?

The back seat cushions have two push pin releases underneath that you can release using the seat belt forks. There is a release under the driver and passenger sides of the cushion.

I found instructions for removing the entire seat and backing on the moddedmustangs forum but you will have to ignore the bad comedy included by whoever put the videos together.

Good find. Most of em just pop out if you yank real hard, but I guess the newer ones have the fancy release buttons, lol.
Ignore my post earlier, this post is a good one!

I tried yanking my backseat cushion out once and FAILED. Then I asked a friend who installed the delete kit and he shared with me the secret of the pushpin release!

Re: How to remove the back seats?

drop the back seat and remove the 3 bolts holding the black headrest in. Then put the top of the seat back up. Take a screw driver or extension and slide under the edge of the back seat where it meets the carpet. Start at the side and go in you will hit a bump. There is a button on this that is facing outward so when you push it in you will be pushing towards the back of the car. Push and pull up on the seat. It can be a pain... google an image.

Both sides are done the bottom of the back seat lifts out and up and you can remove it. Take the two bolts on the bottom out holding the back of the rear seat on. Then you can lift up and out on the back seat. Thats it.
