Wouldnt start

So here is the story, I bought a mint condition 04 gt two day ago and everything works great. However, this morning at 6 when I went to start it it would turn over or even make a sound but my battery was fine. I took the key out and then put it back in and turned it over twice and on the second turn she started and has worked great since but this morning it scared the **** out of me when it wouldn't turn over. Maybe it was the weather? Negative 10 Celsius here in Ottawa? I don't know any ideas please throw them at me!

Re: Wouldnt start

negative 10 celsius is ridiculous lol. Is it in a garage or outside? If so it may have just been frozen. Either way I'd take it in and make them do an inspection on the entire ignition system

Re: Wouldnt start

Is it a 5 speed? If so maybe the clutch wasn't in all the way?

When u say nothing happened. Did the lights on the dash come on when u turned the key the first time?

Yeah the lights and everything came on and when I turned the key it didn't even make a sound it was so weird. I'm new to mustangs but it's my fourth car and that's never happened to me before.

It's possible it's the theft system. I would let it ride and see if it does it again. Make sure u use the same key.

Re: Wouldnt start

This may lead you in the wrong direction but check the key switch for debris. My friend had a Cavalier with a factory theft system. His car did the same thing and his switch was full of gunk he cleaned it and it worked fine.
