side exhaust with my 99 cobra- any opinions or advice?

Right now its very loud. I got ford racing shorty headers, bbk xpipe, and slp lm1 catsback. But I wanna try somethin new next week. I've always wanted to have exhaust pipes out the side and want some opinions and advice about doin it. I will be using the xpipe still. My friend gave me flowmaster 44 mufflers to use with it. What do you think?!?

Yea I heard if your car is lowered your exhaust will scrape all day. If it wasn't lowered I would go for a roush kit.

Super 40 black mufflers, I prefer bassani x pipe. Long tube headers.

side exhaust on a mustang is ok but you cant really lower the car, it will scrape a lot... just sucks the way the side area is designed.

Re: side exhaust with my 99 cobra- any opinions or advice?

What's said about the lowering + side exhaust is correct. With my Roush you have to plan your routes to avoid speedbumps and bad entrances into parking lots. Once you learn where you can and can't go it's not too bad. The mufflers are the lowest hanging part of the system. On the Roush forums alot of people shorten the factory hangers on the Roush Side Exhaust which will get you 1/2 - 1" more of clearance which helps. I've had the car for a few months now...first month scrapped a few times but it's now not bad since I know where I can and can't go...haven't scrapped in awhile.
