Hello

Hello all I am new to this forum site. I own a 99gt which I purchased about 6 months ago. Has a rod knock on lower end. My plans are to pull the motor, strip it down to install all forged internals, install stage 2 hitech cams and a torktech blower unit. Hoping to get over 400 rwhp

With forged guts and an m112 you will hit 500 easy. Great blower. I bought one. Now I gotta build a motor to handle the blower

Just bolt that sucker on now and hope for the best. Build a motor when you need a motor.

Not a chance. I believe in doing it right the first time. And my money is budget tightly so I am only gonna get one chance. Once the motor is built I plan on finding out the max nitrous shot a stock motor can take tho. I will film a movie on that run and be sure to post it. Hehehe

I figured since I have to tear the motor down already, I might as well do it right the first time

Yup...good idea. Then you never have to worry about throwing a rod. I wonder if you can stroke a 4.6. That would turn er into a torque beast. I am gonna look into that. A blown 4.6 stroker. I like the sound of that

Re: Hello

welcome, those 35th anniv wheels are rare, dont sell em. Also it seems the car is a 35th anniv so dont throw away the differences they are hard to track down.

Yep. You can stroke it. They make a 5.0 stroker kit for the 4.6.

I plan on getting the fr500s but I will hang on to those. I also plan to get rid of the spoiler and add a 2" cowl hood

They sell the rotating assy in the magazines. Not that pricy for a built motor.

Depends on the model mustang. It's not worth it for a 99-04 because power levels are very close. 98 and older is worth it if the mark 8 motor is low miles. Otherwise just swap pi heads on. Then you actually get more power than a new edge cause it increases the compression ratio.
