first tuner

Just ordered my tuner for my car. It's an sct. Hope I can feel the difference. Next upgrade will be the off road x pipe since idahe doesn't care about sniffing.

I have a 2000 gt 5-speed. The 87 octane tune made the car 100% more responsive. When I flashed the 93 octane tune it felt like a different animal. I also poured half a gallon of toluene in a full tank and POW....3rd gear chirps are easy now. It has the options to advance timing in 3 different rpm ranges and you can max them out but you need at least 97 octane in the tank with the 93 octane tune. It you have an auto you are really gonna feel a difference

Is not gonna give supercharger type gains but you will definitely notice. I noticed mostly from 1000-4000 rpm. Really woke up. Let us know how it feels after you try each tune.

Re: first tuner

nice, its all about WHAT tune is on it. If its just the normal can tune (one size fits all) it wont do as much as a custom one so keep that in mind.

The bama tunes are a one size fits all. You can get em slightly modified tho with a phone call or email

Re: first tuner

The SCT tuner is definitely one of the best things I have done to mine so far! Mine is stick shift also and overall performance is incredible compared to the stock setting. The 93 race tune is a totally different animal. Enjoy

I didn't feel much with my SCT Tuner and was dissappointed in what the V8 mustang has to offer. I guess I am just used to the power that my civic SI has and how it loves to rev to the moon unlike my clumsy stang. Hopefully my Kenne bell kit will wake it up a bit.

Ok, so a few exceptions.
Civic, not enough power to get out of it's own way,

Re: first tuner

Ok well I know you all saw my videos but I did get a little chuckle when I loaded the tune on my mustang and was like damn is that all. The fart can on my civic is annoying but what is WAY more annoying is how loud my mustang is and the lack of speed that it has. It's like people expect more of my mustang becuase of how loud it is......just saying. It's fun to smoke mustangs in my civic and they just put their heads down in shame and won't even look at me. I get off on it.

I still haven't figured out yet why when I smoke a mustang they get pissed and when a mustang smokes my WRX I give them the thumbs up....Mustang people are wierd I'm almost embarrassed that I own one too.

I'm just trying to say that the tuner for an N/A car is not all that it's cracked up to be and the OP should know that before he spends his hard earned money on his donkey, or mustang I mean

Re: first tuner

I think a tuner is helpful even if it doesn't boost your performance much... Being able to pull codes in your own driveway is amazing.

You know how it's the littlest dogs that are the loudest to prove themselves. Hondas are like chihuahuas. Noisy and harmless

I think they are a must have. On a 93 canned tune and timing cranked up it's still an improvement. And we all know getting power out of these cars is already hard, and a no wrenching mod is the best kind, isn't it?
