Re: Sparkplugs

Well I checked the gap and they're at .054 straight out of the box.. So perfect! And double checked with my mechanic on the plug type and they're what my car takes. So good deal. :]

Now I just need to stop driving it enough for it to cool down so I can install them.. Damn exhaust sounds so nice though.. Gotta go drive it some more!

A spray can of seafoam and a piston soak will do a world of good. Trust me

Installed my plugs and the difference is amazing. And it cured my coasting problem and acceleration!

I picked up a couple cans of seafoam. Which vacuum hose do I put it in..?

Re: Sparkplugs

Ok, did 1/3-1/2 into the vacuum hose, 1/3 in the crankcase, and the rest in the gas tank..

I haven't really noticed anything different except I think I almost pissed myself when I saw the huge billows of white smoke when I was pouring it into the vacuum hose..

Lol.

My friend and I seafoamed his car two weekends ago and we had the fire dept. out there a half an hour after because the neighbors thought the car was on fire. I'm seafoaming my car this weekend too is so funny to do that. It's also fun to do it to your buddys car as a joke to freak them out.

Lol, well yeah.. I knew what was going to happen but still freaked me out.

And I didn't really notice much of a difference after seafoaming it. Hm..

Just changed the oil too.

My idle smoothed out,got peppier. However if it isn't that dirty you wouldn't notice. Ethanol in the gas keeps the injectors pretty clean. The top end still gets carboned up tho, dissolves all that gunk. I am doing it again tonight.....smoke show, then I am gonna go do the worlds biggest burn out. The neighbors already hate me,might as well keep it goin

Ah.. Well I already used fuel injector and fuel system cleaner every other tank of gas. So it was probably pretty clean. Lol.

And I haven't ever done a burnout yet. :/ A bit scared to. Haha.

Well get on er....I have a pair of these crappy chanpiro tires I put on just to cook em off. Hehehe...I kinda need to blow em up so I can mount my Hoosiers on those rims. What kind of injector cleaners. Most of those small bottles don't do anything. Techron works well,as does seafoam. The red-line stuff and amsoil stuff works great too

I don't recall the name of the fuel system cleaner.

I heard old mechanics say that a quart of tranny fluid into a full tank would clean out carbed motors. I wonder if it actually worked.

Yes.. but use Marvel Mystery Oil instead. You can run that in your oil, too.

They love mmo over at bob is the oil guy. There are threads on it all the time, and everyone who uses it claimed positive results. We don't get it here in Canada. Hell we just got seafoam 2 years ago.
