Probably worth more than that with the miles for the year...I'd take it even if it didn't run perfectly...for 3k you definitely have some play money to get it running solid.
You'd have to be an idiot to pass that up. I bought my gf's '02 GT auto for $3,700 and it has 160K on it.
That car is worth about $8000 all day in these parts with the miles you say it has on it.
Were in the middle of talks right now, my in-laws are, for lack of a better term, weird. He's all worried about offering it to his son (my brother-in-law), who is overseas, in the air force. Who, i might add, doesnt want it...
Anyways, banking on the fact that ill snag this for cheap, whats the best few bolt-ons i could do? Preferably cheap too.
As of now, I've put Flowmasters on it and I THINK it was a B&M ripper shifter....? I put it in like 7 years ago for him....
Cosmetic suggestions are great too. I need headlight lenses, they're sun stained from when it was in Florida, I've tried industrial plastic cleaner/polishing compounds with a buffer, no dice.
Intake, plenum...that seems to be the next combination after exhaust on the new edge 2v's. Don't expect crazy gains but I'm sure there's something gained. Gears and a tuner would be the best options...though they are more expensive. Underdrive pulleys are good for a few hp's...dyno proven.
The 2v's really don't respond to the bolt on's very well, just like the new edge v6's. Gears and FI are the best options to gain noticeable power.
There is headlight restoration you can buy, I live in Texas and I see alot of that and do it as well (work at pep boys) and they turn out great, go to a pep boys and check it out

Thanks for all the info everyone! Still waiting to hear...
