Auto windows acting up!!!

K so my auto windows at times will not go down on the driverside. Sometimes playing with the switch (hitting up and down) it will then work. It has never happen while the window was down, only when it was up. Any ideas on what is wrong and how to fix it.

This happened to my cousin's cougar...it was the switch...soomething came loose and you had to play with the switch and look like a complete idiot for it to work but the motor was fine and you could control it from the dricer's side better

Re: Auto windows acting up!!!

Happened in my '02 GT as well, but it got stuck down. I hit it where the motor is and it worked fine after that. I was told that eventually the motor will have to be replaced, but it hasn't given me any trouble since.

Might wanna try taking the switch out and dusting it with a detailing brush.Sometimes the contact points collect some grime and cause it to stop working,if not...pick up a new switch like stated above.Start with the small stuff.

Also you could spray some electrical cleaner on it as well.
