HELP PLEASE

Does anybody know what this part is called it is sitting directly under the oil filter?

I'm guessing oil pressure sending unit.... because of it being close to the filter...

They usually are easy, although that looks different than ones I'm used to seeing... I haven't replaced on in 30 years.... lol
