Mach 1 or 98 cobra

I know this is causing debate but a buddy of mine just got a 98 cobra exhaust and intake and he is talking **** on everyone saying he would smoke me and my other friend. Just wanted to get some opinions plz don't say the motors Are the same Bc they are not just want to know what u guys think

basically same cars performance wise~ he has no reason to talk crap... he obviously doesnt know much about what he is talking about.

Yea but the mach 1 has a better 1/4 mile time then the 98 cobra and dyno's higher too with more torque and Hp

yea they are not to far apart stock for stock.. and ANYTHING can happen on the street. I HIGHLY recommend running at the track as reaction time is left out of it and its whos CAR is faster not who takes off a bit sooner etc

Mach 1 's run better , the have a better torque curve Joe .... those Cobra's were good for mid to high 13's ,you're in the low 13's , tell him to take it to ATCO and shut him up !!!

I was just looking at some dyno numbers and the 98 cobras typically dyno around 260hp and 280 for torque and machs dyno around 280-285 stock and 300+ torque

I put down 300 and 315 with full bolt ons and 4.10s in 04 Mach. My old roomate had 97 cobra with intake and catback with stock gears. I would murder him over and over and stick my arm out the window for him to catch up. Mod for mod they run pretty close 4v>2v>3v anyday

I don't got full bolt ons just what's listed and I didn't get it tuned yet so I am hoping to get some Hp out of a tune

never saw a stock Mach dyno that high Joe ? usually 265 to 270ish , mine was right at 268 at the wheels stock .........

I would think 270ish is right. I had bbk ceramic long tube headers, prochamber and Mac cat back. Jlt intake with sct tuner done at steen racing. 4.10s and a few other things and it was 300.? And 315rwtq around October. I ran a handful of 13.3a@107 on stock wore out gatorbelt stock tires and a 13.1@110 with 275 nitto 555 and a stage 4 zoom clutch. Taking away my bad driving skills a bolt on Mach could run 12.8s

I ran a 13.2 at 108 street tires and the mods listed below not bad

That is pretty good. I had a buddy with bolt on w 315dr and I believe a 75 zex shot that ran low 12s with 3.73s
