rears going

So I pulled with my friends car and something popped I replaced gasket and whatnot hoping for a cheap fix it still whines when i get up to higher speeds anything you think it could be plenty of metal in it

When you hear a pop, it's usually not a cheap fix. Looks like you need to get the rear end cover off of it and see where all those shavings came from. If those are just the ones on the plug, yeah, there should be plenty more in the case.
