Can't you go through the back seat and pull the emergency trunk release. I'm not familiar with verts, do they have an opening behind the rear seat?

You should be able to remove the rear seat altogether from the inside.

Not sure may be no button. Push the front of the seat down/ back/ and then pull up.

Re: NEED HELP ASAP!

Um....Isn't there a key hole in the trunk that you can unlock the trunk with your key old school manual key insertion way? Or did you shave the key hole?

Re: NEED HELP ASAP!

That would make it tough then.

This is an 04 right? If so, the seats will come out from the inside without issue. The bottom cushions the button is tough to find, but it is there on each side...they are kind of in the middle of each seat section.

YOu will definitely be able to reach the trunk release from the back seat as it is open...you may have to keep your top up to do it though.

Re: NEED HELP ASAP!

yea you will have to take out the back seat and then not sure if you can remove the protection shell thing to get into the trunk...

If you have to you can cut through that cover thing once you get the seats out then just replace it afterwards. The top will of course have to be up... and make sure you dont mess up the top motor or lines.

Re: NEED HELP ASAP!

ok.. here was what i discovered... jesus it took me forever... but i didnt even have to remove the seats... just alot of putting the top up top down top up top down.. here is the process if anyone ever goes through this route

OK after getting pissed off because i had to get the stuff outta the trunk i realized i wasnt rationally thinking. I sat down drank some iced tea and thought it out... ok cant get in through the plug because we removed the lock cylinder... cant go through the back of the seats because there is no pass through.. wtf am I gonna do. then i was like ok I had the top down to be able to move a lot easier and said ok lets look at the situation with the top up... bam it hit me. pull the protective cover off. Picture 1:

Well **** still blocked... Picture 2

But wait... what is this sticking out? could it be... are the heavens opening up to me? why YES! there it is.. the plug i needed just sitting there waiting to be thrusted by its missing male counterpart!...

plugged it in.. popped the trunk.. all is well

If you want to lock this thread mod's be my guest lol... all is well in my world again haha

and thanks to all the quick help guys!!!!

Interesting...I remember being able to see into the trunk with the seats out and top up....

At least you were able to get it open.

Re: NEED HELP ASAP!

no... there is no passthrough. When the seats are off on mine they have the motors and amps... then a thick *** piece of foam that wouldnt budge... later found out also that you can push that cover where my hand is at in the pictures, off. The only problem is they are held in with christmas tree's and they are tough as **** to push out backwards. lol
