Question Ported Stock Plenum?

I've heard if you match it to the TB and gasket it makes a hell of a difference in throttle response....just wondering everyone else's input on this? I'm pretty amazing with a dremel and I've got a huge kit with all the carbide bits

i dont think it would hurt to try as long as you are good with the dremel lol. i dont think it will help that much either though

Re: Ported Stock Plenum?

I've heard "night and day" for throttle response and I've heard it does nothing. Both on other forums....soo hoping someone on here that I trust their word would give me some info

We've got both a ported throttle body and plenum sitting in the garage for my wife's car...I suppose eventually we'll get out there and put them on to see what difference it might make.

I've got an accufab 70mm TB....someone told me to take both off, take a sharpie and trace the inside of the TB on the plenum and port match it to that and the lower gasket and that it makes a difference.

You should def go do that so you can tell me haha

Re: Ported Stock Plenum?

i had a BBK t-body for the Mach a few years back and had to port match the inlet because there was a serious ridge where the t-body bolted up ,so i port matched it blended it back ,then polished it with some sanding rolls ...... now i did this at the same time so i don't know if it made a difference or not ??? but you DON'T want a ridge , it creates air turbulence and a loss of power ....
