Any Ideas?

After some exhaust work I was feeling proud of my good sounding stang. I felt like with summer coming up I would do a few other things as preventative maintenence. I changed the thermostat and while at it I changed the temperature sensor located behind the thermostat housing. Now I have a cold start issue and the car runs rough for the first few minutes. The check engine light came on and the temperature gauge only goes up a quarter of the way. I know the engine has to hotter than that. Any Ideas what it could be. I havent had a chance to read codes with a scanner but wanted to see if any of you great minds might know what was causing this headache of mine.

Re: Any Ideas?

Def scan the computer and see what those codes are, it will tell you right off the bat.

Re: Any Ideas?

I dont think the codes will be related because of work from the weekend on exhaust. I removed cats so I think that is what the check engine light is for.

Re: Any Ideas?

Did you get the MIL Eliminators? Or if you have an old flash on a tuner turn the rear O2 Sensors off?

Re: Any Ideas?

Also try replacing the Temp Sensor with the one you took out, just clean it up a bit, and while you may have just had the exhaust done, you never know, these machines can act one way, but it really be another problem, with out the codes knowing for sure, its all speculation.
