Re: hid pictures?

the problem is the stock housing for the bulbs are simply not designed to use HID lights so they blind people

Mine are actually pretty good. I've never gotten flashed or pulled over for them, you just have to aim them correctly.

Yeah, just get the dual beam kit because you have to aim them slightly lower, so you'll need your highbeams on backroads and stuff. Oh, and make sure the lenses are clear all the time, or it will appear like you have horrible glare.

Edit: I got mine with 4500ks, but anywhere between that and 6000k is a good color. This is what I got and it's perfect from DDMtuning.com

Re: hid pictures?

DDMTUNING is pretty much the only place I will buy them from. The offer a lifetime warranty and I have bought a handful or so of their kits and only had one bad ballast which I need to warranty. Other companies I bought from off ebay had issues on more then one car.

I got them for my wife's vehicle if I like them I may get some for my cobra. They were 72 bucks shipped, dual beams, slim ballasts, plug right in (got the harness) etc so I hope they work and last.

Re: hid pictures?

I've had HID's for about 2 years now and love them, you do have to make sure you aim them correctly though to avoid blinding people. Main problem I have with mine is they don't fit exactly in the housing so its just taped in (thus are not quite as focused and spread more).

Sure all you have to do is find a place to mount the ballast. Do you switch from hi to lo a lot?

You'll need them... to not blind people, you need to aim the lows a little down, so the high beams help you see that extra distance when you need it.

Reason I asked was because your not suppose to turn them off and on alot. Example fogs turning off when brights are on. They should have a warranty so it should be ok
