New here, need advice

First of all I'd like to say hello, I'm Fred, and I have a black '02 GT.

Now on to the important stuff. 2 things
1. I have had this car for two years and have put about 30k miles on her. The last week or so I have noticed that the "friction" are on the clutch has gotten a whole lot smaller and I am just hoping it makes it home from California this weekend. also. Should it need replaced, what would be best price/performance wise?

2. Somewhere I have a moderate coolant leak, I have lifted the car and searched for countless hours but can't see any more than what drips down over the sway bar. I'm thinking it's the water pump but I still haven't located the origin of the leak.

Thanks for any help I can get!

the clutch i don't know the leak sounds like the watr pump but I had a 98 GT with a leak I couldn't find it ended up being the intake manifold where the thermstat is located . I ended up replacing the intake manifold I hope that is not the case with yours.

Yes if your stang has the plastic injection moulded t stat housing / runner it's very possible that it's cracked that's what happens to most of the and ford even has a tsb for covering it under an extended warranty period (. 5 years 120000km)

Ya me too but the thing I realized later is that the ford racing intake is cheaper than the factory ford intake

My 98 gt also suffered from the intake leaking. Most likely that's what's going on with yours. I didn't figure it out on mine until the antifreeze filled the closest spark plus hole and my car ran really really bad.
