5.0 block vs 4.6 block

what can you mod more, which do you prefer?

I assume you are talking about the new modular 5.0 boss block. As far as modding its all the same but i have always heard there is no replacement for displacment

You can mod both a lot. But the 4.6 block is stronger. And with dohc it's more powerfull

The old 5.0 blocks, other than the few Bosses that were produced, were not NEARLY as strong as 4.6 blocks.

Stock rotating assemblies (excluding the 03/04 Cobras) are about the same strength realistically....

The stock heads/intakes on the 4.6 cars are more capable than any stock 5.0 setup.

They are both VERY capable engines, but the block alone is a huge difference. If you throw an aftermarket 302 block in the mix, either setup can make all the HP you want

I prefer 4V's because of the capabilities. Strong blocks, strong cranks, heads that flow great already and are capable of more with work, stock intakes that perform fairly well and can do great with a few mods......
