sounds like you have to much flop in your clutch petal so when you push the petal in the clutch cable is not pulling enough to go into neutral all the way. You need to adjust the clutch cable using the quadrant to take up slack.
If its the stock one you can put your left hand on the clutch and push it to the floor, hold the quadrant (above the gas petal white half moon shaped thing). Hold it and let out on the clutch slowly, the quadrant will rotate, just hold the side facing toward the back of the car and as it gets close to being out you will hear a click and it will take up some slack. Click it a couple times and see if thats better.
If you push the petal in hard or pull up on the clutch petal it will unadjust itself.
