Question Do I have A Shift Kit?

My dad and I went out tonight and got on my mustang pretty good. It is so hot here the car got traction great. When the car get to rpm in first and I put the car into 2 it will break the wheels lose for a little and shift HARD! My dad had an 2004 GT Manual and this suprised him. My car is an auto and I have also noticed that when you put the car in reverse it takes about 4sec to get into R. Is this a sign of something bad?

Thanks Andrew.

Your transmission doesn't use a shift kit you program the computer to make the shifts faster and and different rpm's it has the same effect as one but is done more easily and better really.

Wait, are you saying when you shift from Park to Reverse it takes four seconds for it to start moving?

Re: Do I have A Shift Kit?

When I park in my driveway I pull in then back up so I go from D to R and it takes a littlebit tell it kicks into reverse. It will coast backwards then it kicks into revrse and i can use the gas. Im probaly making it sound worse than it is, im bad at putting action in to words lol

Im using the 1,2,D not letting it decide when to shift. When I floor it in D from a stand still it does not shift as hard.

So are you sitting completely still when you shift it, or are the wheels moving?

+1

Best investment I've seen...

So easy a caveman could use it. Well, he could use it if he had a Mustang and wanted to boost performance and fuel ecomomy.
