Black Roof?

So i have been debating painting the roof black on my 2000 performance red GT. I was wondering if anyone had seen this or had a good pic of it. Im not wanting the A-Pillars or above the doors, just the very top of the roof. Any suggestion?? I really want to add some other black accents too so any suggestions would be great

Re: Black Roof?

roof and pillars or just the roof section? you can buy a black vinyl sticker and have it put on professionally and you can then decide if you like it before you have it painted.

My 98's hood roof and trunk were spray painted when I got it. If it was good paint it wouldve looked good. I'll post pics as soon as I can for you to see

Re: Black Roof?

for 6.00 you could plasti dip it, and if you think its ugly, you will know and can peel it off! and if you like it, then get it done right!

I would assume you would tape it off and cover the car in tarps, but thats just my guess.

Just cut a price of black plastic out and cover your roof for a rough look of how it is

+1 that's what I would do. That plastidip would be a pain in the *** to peel off.

Yeah. I can't imagine it looking bad with other accents. But if you're only wondering how it looks do it the cheapest easiest way

There is a yellow one in my area with a black roof and black accents. Looks awesome, to tell the truth. I'll try to get a pic of it tomorrow if I see it.

Thanks guys! I plan on putting other black accents on it as well like the Mach 1 deck panel, black lettering, black gas lid, possibly more but that's a rough list

Re: Black Roof?

Honestly if ya want a two tone car to look good IMO, have it follow a body line. Just having one part a different color may look out of place
