New clutch

So im putting in another stage 3 clutch for 415 tq and taking out my one for 600 taking of my flowmasters and putting bbk long tube o/r x pipe with Mac Exhaust. 70 mm throttle body and pi heads. Spending about 1200$ on parts. Pretty pumped so thought I'd make a post! Weewooo. It might be a little while till it's all done but I'll keep putting up pics has I do them. First things are clutch and exhaust, eventually I'm doing cams tune and pullys!!! Thoughts?

Re: New clutch

Might want to reconsider the clutch. Why a stage 3? Do you have mostly bolt ons? I put a spec stage 2 clutch in mine and I just got it tuned with a kenne bell blower. It holds 446 ft/lbs just fine and is rated to 567 ft/lbs.
On specs website it goes as follows:
stage 1=495 ft/lbs
stage 2=567
stage 2+=635
stage 3=680 stage 3+=790

Why do you think you have 415 torque? Seems high to me with bolt ons. The last thing you want to do is over clutch your car. You will take the drivability right out of it. The stage 3 will chatter for sure. My stage 2 is very close to stock feel

It's not a super expensive, it's a cheaper one not ment for alot and itll last forever especially because I don't burn it or drive it. Its said in done less things I have to do. My current stage 3 which holds 600+ is unnecessary and it's broken that stage 3 will gain it's comftorablelity with 400 pounds. And I plan on doing slot more in in the next month.

I actually found a good stage 2 for 100$ it's usually 240$ but I get parts at price of cost. So im just gunna get that. And it's just as durable as the other off brand stage 3 I found but probably more reliable as far as driveabilty.

Re: New clutch

You do know that a higher stage clutch doesn't mean it's more durable right? Why is it that you think a stage 2 or 3 is what you need?

What are your mods?

Re: New clutch

a higher hp clutch generally means a stiffer clutch which I dont personally like, no need for if you dont have the power or wont to require it.

Yes I have read what you are typing, but I figured you may have been drinking a little because it's hard to follow your english.

So if you are redoing the car to get over 500hp why did you take off the clutch that was good to 600 that you mentioned in your first post? You're not making sense bro

The one that I'm taking off is broken, either the pressure plate or the fork that engages and disengages and I'm constantly in a rush when I'm on here so it may be a little hard to follow.

I will eventually, it's summer so I'm riding the bike more than the car so the car is park for now than I'll probably drive it a little in august and fall and then once snowfall hits it's parked for the winter.
