HELP!!!!! :(

i was cleaning my cluster and right after i switched out my old stock deck for a new one...i ended up not knowing what i was doing and out everything back and just decided to take it to the local audio shop this weekend! well heres the problem! i decided to take it for a little spin and my speedometer doesnt work!!! i removed the needle from the speedometer and the rpms so i could remove the white thing with the numbers and i couldnt see a problem so i put everything back and now neither my speedometer or rpms work correctly!!!( the rpms seem to get stuck and they hardly move! the speedometer doesnt move at all! when i move it with my finger it just goes back to where it was! help please!

oh ad when i was cleaning my cluster i only cleaned the white plastic thing that has the numbers..i moved around the needles when i was cleaning it but i dont think it can be that?

What happend, I'm guessing you have the reverse glow white is they are all sized diffrently. I put them in both my cars. You caused them to either swell or you made them loose. To fix that make sure the old gauge cluster isn't underneath. If it's not leave the gauges in your lap adjust them to where they move than reglue them into proper posistion.

Most reverse glow gauges aren't the best quality by way of fitment.

its probably either the gauges are getting hung on the white gauges you have in front of the gauge face between the gauge face and the needle, or the needle is pushed down to much or not enough. Dont just pry them up though you can mess them up, you have to use the tool that comes with the gauge install kit or find one online to pry the needle straight up and off or what not

You shouldnt have to remove the needle either way (dont its a pain to re calibrate them)

see if they are getting hung

thanks for the help guys..i got my buddy (mechanic) to help me out and we ended up trimming around the needle..it works fine now better than when i got it and he even calibrated the needles again for me. ill have to change the face plate thing
