Does anyone know if I would be able to bore out my engine & run forged everything & run a supercharger with low amount of boost?

Re: Supercharger

if you only want a low amount of boost, if the motor is in good shape, you wont have to build the motor at all. It should take say 8psi on a good tune with no issues. A supercharger system will be costly though, say 5k for the unit, 1k for misc items, then the dyno time~ could be 500-1000 itself with tune.

Re: Supercharger

Why are you wanting to add a supercharger if you want to run low boost? Have you looked into more cost efficent power adders? With a 96 gt you can gain a huge amount of power just adding heads, cams, and intake manifold. Try modularheadshop.com, you can get a stage 2 head and cam combo for around $1700. Its a lot less money wise then a blower and you gain a great deal of power. Upsides include the motor still retainings its stock functionality well adding that cool cam lobe sound. Granted it wont be as powerful as the SC but it does have its upsides when it comes to the money.

So what exactly is forged everything? Where will you take your parts to get them forged? If you get a forged block you would be able to run really low boost and get all kinds of power and be one of the fastest cars on the block. Pm me and I can help get you started.

you cant have your parts "forged" you will have to buy forged pistons, rods, crank, all that stuff and replace it. Also lowering the compression on boosted cars is a better way to go. It gets costly for sure.

Well I wanted to put cobra heads & intake on it & bore it out & go all motor but I want to have at least 500hp without nitrous. Is that possible?
