Coil overs

I have a 1998 gt that has eibach pro- dampener struts. Upr has a coil over kit that includes everything except struts, would the struts I have work with the coil over style setup? Check my garage for the rest of the suspension mods to see if coil over would benefit my setup.

Yes they will work. I did a coilover conversion on my fox body and it helped alot but that was also goin from drag springs to coilovers

I really like a stiff ride so what sort of spring rate should I go with I was recommended 250, but I was thinking more along the line of 350. What do you think

Thats preference really. They will calculate a good spring rate for you depending on weight and other figures that they will ask you. Also if you are drag racing or street ect. They have different lengths as well so really tell them what you are looking for. You also need a steel caster camber plate. I would go with MM 4 bolt. I had the uprs before though and they help up alright as well

Re: Coil overs

the shock/strut has to be compatable and probably isnt, plus daily driver with coil overs can have issues/noises, rubbing etc many dont like it after they convert over.

The coil over tube has to fit aroud the outside of the shock/strut. I know kybs do and im pretty sure eibachs do as well. Bilsteins i believe have to be machined to fit which is why i dont have coilovers on this car. I did have a rubbing thump sound with my fox body coilovers when i hit hars bumps fast
