Tuner?

I was wondering, would it be better to get a Tuner (SCT SF3/X3) first or a shift kit first for my automatic 03 Mustang GT? Or both? I only have a JLT Cold Air Intake and Flowmaster 40's mufflers so far. Or any other suggestions? Thanks

Re: Tuner?

you wont need a shift kit if you buy the tuner, when you order your tuner ask them for firmer shifts and adjusted shift points, i also have an 03 gt and SCT tuner and i love it

Tires and gear ratio play a part in shift points at least for me they did. I also change my shift points from when I'm on my street rims and tires compared to the welds with MT ET Streets.

So a shift kit and a Tuner will basically do the same thing in the shifts category?

Yeah I plan on getting the SCT too. If you get the tuner can you use it on 2 different stings or it only needs to be uses on 1?
