loud clicking noise

ok my car has developed a loud clicking noise and im not sure where its coming from. it sounds like its coming from the rear. i thought it was the brakes but i changed everything brake wise from front to back rotors to calipers and its still there. i am baffled. any help would be appreciated.

Do you by chance have gears? ( A different rear axle than what came from the factory?) When Does it happen? during braking? all the time? Speed? How long has it been going on? etc... The more info you have the better.

You could check for some debris trapped under your car.

It is all stock in the rearend. The only thing upgraded is my front steeda swaybar. It only happens when I brake. That's why I replaced all my brakes but it's still doing it. Someone said it might be a rearend strut but I'm not sure.

If its ur susp or springs it should make the noise just by pushing down on the 4corners of the car 1 at a time when u hear it thats were its coming from . U said under braking does it ever do it under hard accel?

^Yes good thinking! That's why we pay spec the big bucks just kidding.

I'm guessing a rear hub assembly. If its a tap/click sound during braking.

As someone else said try the 4 corners suspension test as well. The car should bounce up quickly and stop bouncing, with no noise. Report back and tell us.

Check the metal clips on the rear brakes. See if you are missing something. Look at E-brake cables. There is a little metal bracket that holds it it place. See if it is broken and rattling around. Also check if e-brake cable rubs on tire

I would say it's something with the pads, but after reading all the things you've done surely the replacement of the pads would have solved the problem, this may sound crazy but check inside your spare tire space, you wouldn't believe the customers that have brought me cars with rear noises that were just something banging around in the spare tire area lol, I'd like to hear it in person, hope you get it figured out, nothing worse than a noise you can't stop

Re: loud clicking noise

Are you positive there is nothing broken on your upper/lower control arms? It could be binding under braking, but I would imagine you would hear it over bumps as well.

Only other thing I can think of is as the previous poster said, possibly something just moving around in the trunk.

One more thought, check your exhaust assembly to be sure it's not rubbing against anything.
