Question 1996 mustang GT rear end gear change

I have a 96 gt I'm looking at doing a change. In the rear end gears. The price is still the same $140 bucks. Trying. To determine what gears. To go with 3.73 or 4.10

Re: 1996 mustang GT rear end gear change

i always heard 373 for stick Mustangs and 410 for auto. i always ran 373 in my 98GT and in my 04 GT. love them. can pass Trucks on highway 5th gear with 373's. goodluck if that helps.

If it's auto do 4.10 and if it's stick do 3.9 I have the 3.9s in my 96 and it's a 5 speed

Going to use sct 4 bank Eliminator chip steeda cold air intake. I would like to use a procharger or supercharger. With out doing much changing to the internals. Doing a head job to be similar to GT40. Even if I have to come down a little 450 HP with 500 in toque at least.
