Lightbulb cost

Does anyone know how much it cost to bore a 4.6 block

That's really going to depend...you've posted an extremely broad question.

Are you going to carry a machine shop the bare block?

What other work are you wanting done?

Are you able to do some of the work yourself?

Well yeah I have someone rippin it apart right now its a 2000 gt with 160k on it time to rebuild just wondering if bore the block is worth it I'm also throwing a stroker kit on

You don't normally bore a block to gain power, boring is done more to provide a smooth and perfect surface for your piston rings to seal.

I would recommend sending the bare block to a machine shop who specializes in this work and go off of their recommendations. It may be that a cylinder is beyond repair and will require even more than a simple bore job (i.e. sleeve)

Your changing the crank and connecting rods which changes the "stroke" and in turn changes your cubic inches...you can increase or decrease the stroke...
