gauge issue

Does anyone know what might be causing this issue or how to fix it? When I turn my stang on the Temp gauge swings all the way to the right well past hot and my gas gauge swings all the way to the left way past empty. It seems to mostly do it early in the morning when there is a lot of condensation in the air. Don't seem to have the issue when its later in the day. Any input would be great. Thanks!

You have a bad connection. Pull the cluster out and put dielectric grease on the connections. When gauges do this its usually a ground with a bad connection. While you are in the dash look over your grounds and tighten them up. Also look around the engine bay for the same thing

Re: gauge issue

Thanks. I actually just read the same thing in an archived thread. I need to pull it to change out the odometer gear and install the white guage face my kids got me anyway. Looks like I will have a good little project rebuilding the IC. lol
