DTC Trouble

Hello, I have previously installed Pypes O/R X pipe on my 97 Mustang, about 700 miles after I stalled the pipe i have received the following codes.

P0131 O2 Sensor Low Voltage Bank 1 Sensor 1
P0420 Catalyst System Efficiency Below Threshold Bank 1
P1131 Lack of HO2S1 Switches Bank 1 Sensor 1

The odd thing is I have previously had a Bassani Hi-flow Catted X-pipe, I have only received codes on Bank 1, none for Bank 2 however.

I'm not sure what else to try to "fix" the problem, Thanks in advance.

Re: DTC Trouble

Do you have an exhaust leak?
My car threw a P0420 and thats what caused it
Idk about the other codes

You need MIL eliminators or a tuner. You don't have cats so your car will throw a code. MIL eliminators are about $70 at cj pony parts.

Re: DTC Trouble

I was thinking I would need MIL eliminators at some point, just went so long without throwing any codes.

If he were to fix the issue and not reset the light after 3 drive cycles the obd system would turn it off on it's own.

Re: DTC Trouble

in order to fix the issue, I would have to install stock mid pipe on it, and i'm not doing that. That is such a pain to uninstall let alone install.

The cheapest way to solve your problem is to take out the check engine lightbulb if it really bothers you, that's what I did. I'm pretty sure you'll be able to tell if your car is acting up without the light anyways.
