Major Engine Trouble With Spark Plug Coils

It all started 3 days ago when I was heading to work my engine started to missfire real bad. So when I got off work I checked all of my coils & plugs. I found out 1 of my plugs wasn't screwed in properly and it cracked my 6 spark plug coil. So I installed the plug back in properly and replaced the coil. Soon as I replaced the coil with a newer 1 and started my engine the same coil that was replaced and the coil next to it coil 5 blew and coil 6 caught on fire. Luckly I was in my drive way when this happen so I quickly put the fire out. What could be the reason my coil keep blowing like that and how to fix the problem?

Re: Major Engine Trouble With Spark Plug Coils

It sounds like you may have a short circuit somewhere or possibly a failed resistor that is allowing too much voltage to enter the coil.
Also check and verify that your grounds are in cood condition and making good contact, especially the engine grounds.
