Always thought Borla to be over priced, though I've never used any of their kits. I have a Mac cat-back, and have had FlowMaster cat-back which are similar to each other. I'm starting to like the Mac tone better then FlowMstr. Never herd a Borla kit I thought sounded good on any car. Just my opinions.

I'd go Borla if your talking about the stingers but that's just me. Although I have had chambered mufflers in the past and loved them I feel the stingers are just raw!!! That's just my opinion

Borla cost too much for what they are. There chrome tips are ugly on the 99-04 and they pop a lot when you punch the throttle and let off. MAC is the best for the buck!

Borla Stingers... I have them, they're wonderful. Lots of hate for a nice product in here.

Of course, anyone is going to hate on something that cost 2x and does the same thing?!?! And in the opinion of many sound... Strange.. Compared to what we are used too. You know we fear what's overpriced and what we don't understand(why).

What good is a million mile warranty when the majority see 200k-300k. you see some past that but not enough to need a warranty to a million miles..

I suppose Strange = awesome
I restate, I love my Borlas and they were worth it to me. They obviously don't do "the same thing" if they produce different sounds. Functionally, they do very similar things, sure.

I went with Magnaflow, but Had I not have used Magnaflow, I would have used "Borla", I like the way they sound.

I've had flowmasters and now I have Mac. I think Mac sounds fantastic. Me and a lot of my friends that own mustangs including my family think the Mac sounds better than flowmasters. They're a similar sound diff tone... Dont go Borla. I'm not a fan of over priced exhausts.

Borla is a high quality product and all hand made. My shop deals with them oftem and have had great experiences. They sound great and are mellow at idle and sound great at rev. The quality is great though. I run steeda on my stang and they sound just like a chambered borla kit

You will be happy with either. I just choose to go high quality with everything i do performance based. If i ever choose to sell the car people look at the parts you buy and know that if you buy quality parts you care about the car and take care of it

Re: borla vs mac

Here is two good videos of the exhaust. I would choose from these. I would never buy an exhaust system without hearing one first.

MAC

BORLA

H will be deeper and more muscle sounding. X will be slightly louder but raspy. I always run h-pipes
