Yea to get to your coil on's the fuel rail needs to be removed. I had to take it off to change the spark plugs.

I don't know about taking the fuel rails off but I got the coil packs and spark plugs out and changed without having to take off the fuel rails... You just have to be crafty. However I do not know how to check the coil packs. Sorry. :/

Re: Coil on packs.

easiest way is with your car running ,pull the plug wires off 1 at a time , when you find the one thats missing ,the way the cars running wont change , but if you pull one off of a good cylinder it'll change ( miss even more ) that'll at least let you know witch cyl is bad ........

Well some of the boots have small cracks at the bottom were it sits on the plugs idk if that's good. Plus my plugs are black and white at the time. So is it time for plugs and maybe just boots. Let me no. Thx

You do NOT need to remove your fuel rail to get them out.
