Can I reuse my old Head Bolts?

I am about to finish building my 4.6L 2V and I am wondering if I have to by new head bolts or can I use the old ones?

I have been told yes and no, so I thought I would ask you guys.

Thanks.

Re: Can I reuse my old Head Bolts?

Some head bolts are intentionally stretched when tightened. They are torque to yield and can only stretch once and then they lose their elasticity. I would definitely not reuse them on a 4.6...

Suggest buying ARP head bolts. They are reusable. Stronger as well. As mention stock ones are TTY.
