What does a stang do when the egr valve needs replacement?

My car was tested at Autozone said it's an egr issue idles...ok but accelerates horribly unless at 1/2-3/4 throttle

Does it have an aftermarket cold air induction? Just curious because i had the problem for months and it ended up being the induction switch it back and havent had the problem since! Just a suggestion!

Yep its very possible! What kind of cai do you have? I got mine off ebay cuz it was cheap n i jus wanted to try it and see what it was about!

Not necessarily, it could be stuck closed. Then in that case it would be terrible mpg's.

Is there a way to check an egr valve? If so how? My Stang runs pretty rough at times and gets bad mileage

Yeah one way to see if it's stuck open is to disconnect the vacuum line at idle and it runs better its stuck open.
