I've heard great things about that shifter, I have been looking at the same one for my Bullitt.

Re: MGW short throw

I have one in my 03 cobra. Ordered one for my T5 swap in my 93 fox. I've had the steeda shifter in my 2000 GT and in my 03 cobra...and I feel the MGW is a much better feel, smoother, and definitely more adjustable. I'll never go back from having the MGW in any future mustangs I may have.

I won't use any other shifter than a Steeda Tri-ax.

For some people, the MGW works great. It never worked out for my shifting style.

The steeda was decent in my 2000 GT, but it completely sucked in my 03 cobra. It was weird how different it was between the 2 cars.

The MGW just happen to work quite a bit better with the design of the T-56 over the T-45,and T-3650 yes. I used the Tri-Ax with my TKO-600 and it's fantastic. I also used them on my old foxes, and my 99GT.

I doubt you will have any issues with the shifter. And if the noise you hear annoys you (it will happen with all aftermarket shifters since they remove the rubber bushings and such), let me know....Cobra Bob has rubber shifter gaskets that i've used in all my cars and it pretty much kills the noise...and makes it so you don't need to use RTV.

Yeah, that's an option. You can also use these so you won't have any mess and can reuse the gasket should you need to remove the shifter laster for any reason.
