New engine for the Gt Pics!!

Ok so long story short i just picked up this motor from a guy for 500 bucks and I need some advice before I put it in.

These are the exact specs that he gave me .
Bottom end

Stock blocked bored .030 over
Has eagle forged and balanced crank and rods and weisco flat top .30 over pistons
90.2 mm stroke
High flow oil pump

Top end has the Windsor PI heads that have been shaved, PI cams
And now the weird part lol. It has been converted over to carbureted with a custom high rise intake manifold and an eddlebrock 750 cfm four barrel.

From what the guy said the displacement is a little bigger than a 5.2 liter and he said its over 400 hp,

Any mustang guys this is where I really need your help I'm gonna drop the oil pan and inspect the rotating assembly to see if I can figure out if it's really forged and what brands if so, I would like to check to see if it's a stroker and bored out but I have not the slightest clue on how to tell.
I know I didn't get ripped off because I saw the motor run on a stand and it was fine all I needed was the assembled block anyways. But I guess my questions are. Should I keep the carb on it? Do the engine specs sound correct? Give me every detail u can on how I can look this motor over and see what exactly I'm dealing with. Thanks guys there's pics below. And I can take more whenever. Help me out lol !!

I'm thinking you will probably need a new hood with more clearance, because the stock injected set up is more low profile. But you wont know until you drop it in. I like the custom sheet metal intake, looks mean.

Actually it looks like you might have a cowl hood already.

Ya. I got a 6 inch cowl on it so it should clear just fine lol.

It's kind of like a mystery engine cuz I don't know for sure what I'm getting. Guess I could just put it in and find out. Sounds like fun. Haha

Re: New engine for the Gt Pics!!

your not going to stroker a stock iron block to a 5.2liter without doing sleeves which i doubt it has..whats the stock on the rods and crank? 400 hp with stock cams?hell no lol)

whats the compression since it has flat tops and heads have been milled?

only way to really check and make sure its forged is to do like you said pull oil pan and look...

If I remember right the compression is like 11 something. From what he said but who knows , I think when I pull the pan off I'm gonna measure the cylinders and compare the size to my stock block to see if it's bored Idk. Lol

Not a bad buy for 500 bones bro.
My advice is rip it apart find out exactly what you have and work from there. I would build it up to your goals and you will be happy. Keep the carb to I think it
Looks bad asd

Re: New engine for the Gt Pics!!

ya that intake looks cool , but is WAAAAY to Much for a 400hp engine .
it'll run like crap .
go with a Victor Jr or performer RPM intake and sell that race intake
and you'll pick up HP AND RUN A LOT BETTER ALL AROUND
when you take the pan off look at the cyl bores at the bottom ,if it has a stroker it'll have small notches ground off the bottom of the cylinders so that the rod bolts /rods will clear when rotating ..........
