MORE HORSEPOWER!!!!

So, me being the standard guy, I want a fast car. I mean, I've already got a fairly fast car... I WANT A FAST CAR!! So, I'm thinking about putting a chip in it... I've seen the G-force chips, but are there any other minor things I can do to help? I know alot of building isn't so much huge items, but a combination of a bunch of smaller changes... Any ideas? Feel free to let me know! And the vehicle in question is the 2003 GT, 4.6L, stage 3 clutch, 3.73 gears, and a CAI!

Re: MORE HORSEPOWER!!!!

how much are you planning on spending lol... heres a good start, cams, tune, bigger TB, plenum, and nitrous. prolly your best bet for speed. and you definately need header back exhaust. long tubes, o/r xpipe, and a catback of your choosing.

Re: MORE HORSEPOWER!!!!

Going fast for cheap is hard but you can do what I have been doing and that is searching the classifieds. I picked up a pair of Comp cams for $200 when they are over $500 new. Just ask for pics and dont be afraid to ask for detailed pics to try and save yourself from buying junk. Good luck!

Re: MORE HORSEPOWER!!!!

Those Gforce chips are obviously a scam. Anything that claims 70 hp for one mod, especially a chip is pure bull.

Same your money and get an SCT Tuner, your car is new enough you don't have to settle for just a 'chip' bro. You can get a hand held that can be adjusted as you further your build and let you get the most out of what you already have.

Def get a tuner, with a CAI and cat back youll feel noticable change when you get a tune. Gears are also big help for speed and for a feel maybe a short shift kit

I heard that! We're just a couple of young bucks trying to learn so we can teach the next generation ;D I do love the support I get in here though, it' amazing how like you said, everyone in this 'community' is more than willing to help out a fellow car lover, be it anywhere from what engine and mods to run, to wether or not they should have a red car or black car!

Your never gonna need a stage 3 clutch and you will still wear through it. Personally... it may bbe worth it to find someone who really wants it and sell it to them and get a regular clutch. Stage 3 is only for huge hp cars man. Like 800 rwhp
.. anything less than that and your just sacrificing daily driveability.

Rear end needs an upgrade long before the clutch...

Where did you get the v6 from lol he said he's got the 4.6. And you need to upgrade way more then your rear end at that point.
