4.10 vs 4.30 t45

Hey I have 99 gt with 327 in it I think Iv been reading lots of reviews I'm still on the fence with 4.10 or 4.30's , is 1st gear useless with 4.30? Do you have to shift much more then 4.10?

And will I need a new diff cover with the 8.8 ? Or will stock still work

Stock cover will work.base your decision on how much highway and city driving you do.430 is a lot of gear but if u do mostly. City driving youl be fine.

Re: 4.10 vs 4.30 t45

With 430s I was able to drive 45 minutes home from the dragstrip, through town and highway, with just 1,2,5(I broke 3&4) gear. Lol I was able to chug my car down to 25-30 mph in 5th.

4.30s are mighty tall gears if you're planning on doing any sort of driving. Most people recommend 3.73s
