How wide is my rim 8"? Or 9" stock

Hey I'm wondering what's the biggest tires I can put on my stock rim I'm not sure if the rim is 8" wide or 9" wide?

I could be wrong but I think they are 8 inch wide!..

They are 17x8 had those with some 275 555rs they bulged a bit so im positive they are 8in wide

Can I run 275/40/r17? Or would I be better off with 255/50/r17?

Just buy a staggered wheel/tire kit unless you're trying to stick to a budget.
315/35s all day in the back.

i had those same wheels on my first stang...i ran 275/40/17 nitto 555's on the rear and 245/45/17s on the front....very nice combo
