Heater core help!

Hey i need to replace the heater core in my 1997 GT coupe and I dont have any idea what im doing! How long will it take and can i get step by step instructions?? Please help! Thank you soo much

Book time is roughly 8 hours. For a factory trained tech that's done it a few times I usually got them done under 4 hours depending how much I got pulled off of it. For someone who has no idea what they are doing I would say a few days man. Realistically if you have no idea what your doing I would call around get some prices save you a huge headache..

It's really simple just time consuming .. U will need to take the entire front dash off to access the core disconnect a few vacuum lines and swap fairly easy just a lot of time and patience

Yeah man. Its a long fight... budget a long Saturday and be prepared to spend Sunday at it...

or you can just bypass the heater if you dont use it that much

Haha i dont quite think i can go without a heater cause i live in Canada. Haha well its sounds like i have an autoshop project! Lol

Re: Heater core help!

Well ur not going to like changing a heater core, my 2000 F-150 started leaking anti freez in the cab due to it and to replace it we had to almost take the whole dash off, I cant imagine how bad a stang is. it took a day on the truck so a stang might take longer.
