Viper alarm

I have a 2001 gt and im going to buy a Viper LE 5701 alarm/remote start kit and I wanted to know if I was going to need a bypass or not? or any other parts to make this work on my model?

If its a manual transmission your gonna have to bypass the clutch start switch.

I had no idea you could do this! So what happens if you try to remote start it and it's in gear like, for example, you were parked on a hill and kept it in first?

It would jump, violently... Your starter motor is pretty strong. Look up videos on YouTube about manuals with remote start.

My '97 Dodge Avenger had a remote start and my Kids Mom left it in gear with the parking brake off and when I hit the start button as it cranked it rolled over the curb and into a fence.
My advice, if you get a remote start, never use it when someone else has driven your car.

I heard that remote starts are actually bad on the starter. Never been told or found out why.
