Exclamation 99 Gt Convertible Top Problems

It wont go up or down unless I do it manually. And even now doing it manually is getting hard to do, its fighting going up manually too now..When I press the center console button to make the top go up, it makes a weird noise..like something squirting out fluid, its coming from the drivers side of the top down by the back seat somewhere. Could it be a bad hydraulic? Maybe something lost preasure?

If I left any needed info out, let me know and I'd be glad to tell you.

Thanks

Re: 99 Gt Convertible Top Problems

may be low or out of hydrolic fluid (power steering fluid or brake fluid i believe)

its rather easy to tear the back seat out and get access to it all, shouldnt be impossible to fix.

the ram's may be messed up and not sealing. You probably have fluid leaking under your back seat bottom, take the bottom of the back seat out (VERY easy to do get with me if you dont know how) and look for fluid.

call steve at tousleyfordparts.com and get parts if you need new parts
