Re: How make 350-400 rwhp N/A

Stroker kit, p/p heads and intakes and cams

But still don't know if that's enough to make 350rwhp

Trick flow top end kit. Get the higher compression kit. You will also need a pi (99-04) intake manifold. That plus full bolt ons and a tune will give you about 380

---------- Post added at 04:06 PM ---------- Previous post was at 04:05 PM ----------

Mmr also sells port and polished TFS heads. A set of those with some real aggressive cams should put you at or a little over 400

+1 aim for a 10.5:1 compression ratio with a solid stroker kit and you'll make it

I've been looking into this for years. Not gonna happen realisticaly. Either do a swap or blow it. Way cheaper, easier, and streetable.

I wanna stay N/A I don't wanna get into a blower or anything. I don't wanna blow it seeing how it's stock block right now. My plan now is CAI,throttle body,HCI,L/T headers already have O/R x pipe and flow master exhaust. And a short throw shifter is my list for now

bull sh#t..

unless its a big bore stroker with 12:1 compression and spinning it 7500 rpms he did not sorry..

350 is fairly easy..anything over is a hassle..

you will need 11:5:1 or higher, light rotating assembly(stock crank prepped, i beams, good pistons)..for a all n/a motor you dont to spend money on a forged crank as they are heavier, dont need ported trickflow heads, some out the box trickflows cleaned up or some great ported pi heads, custom spec'd cams with some decent duration, eddy or trickflow intake(eddy with a 60601 and 90mm and jlt, trickflow(big single blade tb or dual) and some nice rpms behind it..but you can acutally get close to 350 with the stock pi intake.

---------- Post added at 08:06 PM ---------- Previous post was at 08:00 PM ----------

and to make over 400 it will be easier on a 2v to go eddy intake and a carb..

cprblue on corral made like 420 or so with his 2v..but compression is 12:1.race ported trickflow heads from rick at foxlake, acutally had some off the shelf comp 278s, eddy intake with carb,i beam rods,(forgot what pistons) stock race prepped stock crank(for light weight and decent rpms) and e85..

True!! The motor my cousin had b4 he lost oil presure and locked up on him. 4.6 2v. Fully built. Heads cams 11:1. The works everything. Made 315 at tires. Now he has a 5.4 bored to a 5.7 and carbed with a 150 shot.

I'm not looking for a freaking super drag car I want up around 350 N/A that's it should be easy with enough mods I don't wanna put nitrous blower turbo cause I'm not rich and can't afford to build a complete motor just yet it's my DD

It will cost u quite a bit. Cousin had fully forged rotating assembly 11:1 compresion heads/cams/intake. All trickflow and every other dam bolton u can do/full exhaust and like i said made 315 at tires. U be better just puting a supercharger on it cost u less than spending all the dam money on trying to get to that hp na. And still fall short.

If I throw a supercharge it and run the all stock motor I have now kaboom goes that and I'm walking everywhere! So I might as well stay stock or buy an ls1 and I don't make 350 oh well at least I'm closer to having a built motor and then I can forge and put a turbo on it. I've seen like 3 threads on here of guys with a ruined motor over FI stuff

U will get close to your goal of 350 man just got to up the compresion and all i said earlier. Its posible u can make more than the 315 my cousin had he had a ****ty tune done. So u can get close to your goal maybe 335 around there with a dam good tune. Then after that throw a procharger or whipple on there and u be more than happy. Just takes time. And i lnow chevy motors make power go check out my uncle fox on my profile gots a chevy motor in it lol and procharged made 1200

To be honest. If you wanna make any kind of power your going down a longgg road my friend. Lots of hard work, frustration and money to be spent. I have spent well over 40,000 in just mods to my mustangs. I will tell you from experience it's not worth the money. Buy a car with alllllllll the work done already.

Just my advice. My 95 has over 22 000 into it. Might be worth 15000 if I were to sell
