Sorry I've been away

Hey guys some of you may remember me. If not I understand it's been a while since I posted
I have been unable to look at mustangs without getting a sinking feeling in my stomach.
On september 11th I got sideswiped by a drunk driving former football player and he totaled my gt. (my heart was broken) he proceeded to run to another county and my pony still had enough life in her to chase him down (while i was was calling the police) the police however were as usual around here a flaming bag of no help at all. They said the accident didn't happen in their jurisdiction and told us to drive back to the county in which the accident took place and file a police report. The other driver who was blatantly drunk of course simply got in his car and drove home. fortunately I had full coverage on my baby and I filed a police report like I was told. However the insurance company screwed me and didn't give me near as much money as I needed but I couldn't bear to see her crushed.
So I began my long arduous journey to rebuild my wounded horse
I spent months tracking down and befriending the best Autobody owners mechanics and mustang salvage yards and traveled across 3 states in my pursuit of parts within my impossible budget
Today I pulled my Crimson GT out of the paint booth looking brand new and I still have money left over to throw in some extra performance upgrades

I am posting pictures for all to see of the damage that was done and my car rescued and restored to all her former glory
She took a big hit keeping me and my passenger safe I felt I owed it to her to return the favor and undo the damage that had been done
Let me know what you think

The mustang held up amazing against that big lifted brand new gmc sierra apparently she completely dislodged the truck bed from the truck I've never been more thankful for my upgraded suspension before in my life either it kept us from spinning sideways in front of a semi

Sounds like something to be very thankful for. At least you were able to get it fixed.

Glad your back! Sorry about your car, some people are idiots. Good job bringing her back from the grave. She's beautiful

Wow! That is an incredible story. I just bought my first mustang GT. It has been my dream to own one since I can remember. I am also on a tight budget. I was wondering if anyone had any tips on how can i make my GT into the dream car on a tight budget.

It depends on what your definition of a dream car is. Some peoples dream car is fast or some people wants looks or a combination of both. There are many threads about cheaper mods both cosmetic and performance. Search around bro or start your own thread and include what your budget and goal is
